SUMMARY:PPA TEC Three Day Basic Oil Heat Class
DESCRIPTION:This class includes all the primary fundamentals of oil heat training for technicians in a three-day training program. Technicians who have experience servicing HVAC equipment\, but have limited background working on oil equipment\, are ideal candidates for this class. DESCRIPTION:Primarily focuses on safely and efficiently servicing\, troubleshooting\, and repairing basic propane appliances. For the purpose of this course\, basic propane appliances are defined as simple appliances that do not have advanced controls and complex electronic ignition systems. They may have simple electronic ignition systems\, such as those found in many ranges. SUMMARY:PPA TEC EPA 608 Certification Prep & Test
DESCRIPTION:Taking the EPA Section 608 certification is a crucial step for anyone who wants to work in the HVAC field. Successfully passing this test gives you a lifelong license. It’s also good across the country – so if you decide to move to another state\, you’re still covered. The program will feature a morning preparation along with an afternoon test. Attendee has the opportunity to attended a future EPA 608 Test if they do not initially pass during the first two test attempts. Scheduling will be contingent on PPATEC instructor and class availability. \nIt is expected that attendees read the manual before attending the class to increase the likelihood of passing the test. SUMMARY:PPATEC Three Day Basic Oil Heat Class
DESCRIPTION:This class includes all the primary fundamentals of oil heat training for technicians in a three-day training program. Technicians who have experience servicing HVAC equipment\, but have limited background working on oil equipment\, are ideal candidates for this class. This training also serves as a great resource for oil heat technicians who completed the NORA Bronze Two Week Basic Oil Heat Program in the past\, but could use a refresher training. \n\n\n\nThree Day Basic Oil Heat will cover: \n• Introduction to Oil Burners \n• Oil Tanks\, Piping\, Fuel Units\, and Oil Valves \n• Nozzles and Combustion Chambers \n• Draft and Venting \n• Combustion \n• Ignition Systems \n• Motors \n• Primary Controls and Limited Controls \n• Hands-On Troubleshooting in Lab\n\n\n\n\nRegistration fees include: Lunch is provided each day \nOur Instructor: \nAlan Mercurio\, a technical trainer with the PPA\, has over 30 years of industry experience in various roles including service technician\, equipment sales\, and service manager. Alan is an industry author\, consultant\, educator\, and proctor. He holds certificates as a Master Technician in the State of Pennsylvania\, Silver certificate from the PPA\, is NORA Gold Certified\, and is EPA Certified by the VGI Training center as a type I and type II Air Conditioning Technician. DESCRIPTION:This class will provide the basics to help entry level A/C installers complete better field installations. This will be accomplished by better understanding airflow set up\, adjusting charge\, and an overview of low voltage wiring. Service technicians will also benefit from attending this class to better prepare for the upcoming cooling season. \n\n\n\nBasic A/C Operation\, Start Up & Servicing: \n  \n– Low voltage wiring \n– Airflow testing\, adjustment\, and its effect on performance \n– Checking and adjusting refrigerant charge\n\n\n\n\nOur Instructor: \nTrevor Brubaker has been in the HVAC industry for over 13 years and has worked for leading contractors in the South Central PA region. SUMMARY:PPATEC EPA 608 Certification Prep & Test
DESCRIPTION:Taking the EPA Section 608 certification is a crucial step for anyone who wants to work in the HVAC field. Successfully passing this test gives you a lifelong license. It’s also good across the country – so if you decide to move to another state\, you’re still covered. The program will feature a morning preparation along with an afternoon test. Attendee has the opportunity to attended a future EPA 608 Test if they do not initially pass during the first two test attempts. Scheduling will be contingent on PPATEC instructor and class availability. \nIt is expected that attendees read the manual before attending the class to increase the likelihood of passing the test.
