DESCRIPTION:This class is for technicians with a basic understanding of the refrigeration cycle. If you are looking to gain a basic understanding of the refrigeration cycle\, we recommend taking our “Basic A/C Operation\, Start Up & Servicing (1 Day Class)\,” “A/C Principles\, Theories\, Installation & Troubleshooting (10 Day Class)\,” or “Intro to Air Conditioning (4 Day Class).” \nThe Heat Pump Operation\, Testing\, and Troubleshooting class will help both installation and service technicians better understand the operation of heat pumps. Whether an installer isn’t sure what they should be seeing when starting up a heat pump\, or a service technician feels there is room to improve when diagnosing heat pumps\, this class has something to offer. \n\n\n\nHeat Pump Operation\, Testing\, and Troubleshooting: \n  \n– Refrigeration cycle for heat pump\, what changes from air conditioning temperatures\, pressures\, and etc.? \n– Understanding the difference in low voltage wiring from standard A/C \n– Checking charge in heat mode and understanding what affects readings \n– Troubleshooting: what’s different from a standard A/C? \n– Dual fuel wiring and optimization \n-Understanding defrost cycle and troubleshooting defrost cycle\n\n\n\n\nOur Instructors: \nMike Elmer has been in the HVAC and plumbing industry since 2002 and has worked for leading contractors in the South Central PA region.
