SUMMARY:PPATEC Heat Pump Operation\, Testing\, and Troubleshooting
DESCRIPTION:This class is for technicians with a basic understanding of the refrigeration cycle. If you are looking to gain a basic understanding of the refrigeration cycle\, we recommend taking our “Basic A/C Operation\, Start Up & Servicing (1 Day Class)\,” “A/C Principles\, Theories\, Installation & Troubleshooting (10 Day Class)\,” or “Intro to Air Conditioning (4 Day Class).” \nThe Heat Pump Operation\, Testing\, and Troubleshooting class will help both installation and service technicians better understand the operation of heat pumps. Whether an installer isn’t sure what they should be seeing when starting up a heat pump\, or a service technician feels there is room to improve when diagnosing heat pumps\, this class has something to offer. \n\n\n\nHeat Pump Operation\, Testing\, and Troubleshooting: \n– Refrigeration cycle for heat pump\, what changes from air conditioning temperatures\, pressures\, and etc.? \n– Understanding the difference in low voltage wiring from standard A/C \n– Checking charge in heat mode and understanding what affects readings \n– Troubleshooting: what’s different from a standard A/C? \n– Dual fuel wiring and optimization \n-Understanding defrost cycle and troubleshooting defrost cycle\n\n\n\n\nOur Instructor: \nVito Rodaligo has been in the HVAC industry since 2007 and has worked for leading contractors in the Central PA region. His background includes residential and commercial HVAC service\, installation\, and design. Vito brings a unique instructor perspective by serving in roles of a service technician\, installation technician\, and as a service manager. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Item Name\nExpires\nPricing\n\n\n\n\nMember Price – Discounted price is for PPA members and PPATEC members.\nMay 06\, 2025\n\n\n$220.00\n\n\n\nNon-Member Ticket – Full ticket price is for non PPA or PPATEC members\nMay 06\, 2025\n\n\n$275.00
