SUMMARY:PPA TEC EPA 608 Certification Prep & Test
DESCRIPTION:Taking the EPA Section 608 certification is a crucial step for anyone who wants to work in the HVAC field. Successfully passing this test gives you a lifelong license. It’s also good across the country – so if you decide to move to another state\, you’re still covered. The program will feature a morning preparation along with an afternoon test. Attendee has the opportunity to attended a future EPA 608 Test if they do not initially pass during the first two test attempts. Scheduling will be contingent on PPATEC instructor and class availability. \nIt is expected that attendees read the manual before attending the class to increase the likelihood of passing the test. DESCRIPTION:This class includes all the primary fundamentals of oil heat training for technicians in a three-day training program. SUMMARY:PPA TEC HazMat Vehicle Inspection Demonstration
DESCRIPTION:The PPA is excited to partner with FMCSA and Pennsylvania State Police to offer a new educational opportunity to our membership. DESCRIPTION:This course will cover choosing the proper boiler\, determine flow and pipe sizing\, choosing a circulator\, review heating systems such as Series Loop\, 1 Pipe\, 2 Pipe\, MonoFlo\, boiler components and application\, boiler venting and combustion air methods\, cast iron to high efficiency boiler retrofits\, general troubleshooting of HE boiler components. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nRegistration fees includes: Catered lunch \nOur Instructor: Ron Beck worked for Arnold Fuel Oil for 20 Years – 11 years as a service tech\, and 9 years as the service manager for the company.  In 1998\, Ron was hired by US Boiler to work in the new tech service department and answer phone calls from technicians and installers. He started as a service tech and soon became the service manager. He was later promoted to Training Manager\, where he developed and performed training programs in the US and Canada. He continued to take technical service department calls as needed when not traveling. \nRon retired after 43 years in the industry\, but was not ready to step away from the industry and the work that he loves.
