DESCRIPTION:Primarily focuses on designing and installing the exterior portions of a vapor distribution system for both residential and small commercial markets. \nRegistration includes the following: \n• CETP 4.1 Installing Exterior Vapor Distribution Systems book \n• Exam \nCourse objectives include: \n• Properly determine an effective system load. \n• Identify factors affecting selection of a properly-sized container. \n• Select and install an appropriate container for a vapor distribution system. \n• Identify requirements for establishing a container location. \n• Identify how to properly select\, size\, and install pipe and tubing for a vapor distribution system. \n• Explain how to analyze and prevent corrosion. \n• Identify the steps to sizing\, selecting\, and installing regulators. \n• Describe how to properly select and install a vapor meter. \n• Discuss primary special installations that correspond with a vapor distribution system. \nRequirements for Certification include the following: \n• Prerequisite: 1.0 BP&P Certification completed within 12 months of passing the exam \n• Passing score on 4.1 Design & Install VDS exam \n• Completed 4.1 Design & Install VDS Skills Assessment returned to testing center within 12 months of passing the exam \nIndividuals will complete the skills assessment to complete the final action required in order to receive the certification. SUMMARY:PPATEC NORA Bronze—Two Week Basic Oil Heat Program
DESCRIPTION:After 10 days of concentrated fundamental classroom theory\, coupled with practical laboratory work\, including hands-on experience on a variety of live-fire equipment\, you will acquire a solid foundation of knowledge. This training\, along with field experience\, will help build careers as installation and service technicians that will become an asset to you and your customers. \nThe final day of training is a test day. The test takes place in the morning. Standard test times range from 30 minutes – 3 hours depending on the individual student. In nearly all cases\, students are completed prior to 12:00 PM. \nBronze Certificate of Training will be awarded to each student who completes the course and passes the examination. The test is based on the NORA Oil Heat Technician’s Manual\, which is used for Silver Certification. \nRequirements: There are some study assignments required to be done by the students in the evening during the course.
