DESCRIPTION:Module 4 – Flow Centers Application\, Installation & Diagnostics is presented by PA Geothermal Heat Pump Association and hosted by the Smart Energy Initiative of Southeastern PA (SEI) \nContinental breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m. A boxed lunch will also be provided. \nWho should attend: \nThe comprehensive installation workshop is designed for GSHP installers\, contractors\, dealers\, home builders\, manufacturers\, distributors\, architects\, heating cooling mechanical engineers\, trenching/water well drilling contractors\, and anyone who desires a working knowledge of this innovative technology. \nRepresentatives from public utilities\, private utilities\, and rural electric cooperatives can also benefit from training. \nCourse description: \nThis one day class will cover the basics of flow center selection and sizing with GDS pressure drop calculator demonstration\, basic installation practices\, troubleshooting\, pump slaving\, impact of water quality on pump life and warranty. This class also includes flushing of both pressurized and non-pressurized flow centers as well as antifreeze selection and safety practices. \n8 hours earned for each: \n\nAC Service\nAC Installation\nHeat Pump Service\nHeat Pump Installation\nEfficiency Analyst Senior\nHydronics Gas Installation\nHydronics Gas Service\nHydronics Oil Installation\nHydronics Oil Service\n\nInstructor: Jay A. Hammond \nMr. Hammond is a NATE Instructor and Proctor\, IGSHPA Instructor\, a NCCER Level 1-4 HVAC Instructor\, and is certified as an instructor with various other organizations and State authorities. \nRegistration: \nSEI has cash training grants for PA residents. Cost for the course is $300\, however you may be reimbursed up to 50% of your training costs upon completing a brief training grant application. \nAfter you register\, you will be sent a registration confirmation.
