PPATEC: 3-Day Burner Training (3 Day Class – 8/1/23 – 8/3/23)

Description:
Students will be installing each day one of the three major brands of oil burners on live fire boilers in the Thaddeus Stevens lab. Students can expect the following:
- Classroom instruction & hands-on training (working in teams of 2)
- Checking pump pressure and vacuum
- Primary control technology and operation
- Burner and control wiring
- Combustion Analysis
- Disassembling and assembling burners on the bench.
- Troubleshooting techniques
Day 1: Carlin Combustions Technology, Day 2: Riello, Day 3: Beckett
Meals: Lunch will be provided each day (with coffee & snacks in the morning)
Cost: Free to attend (companies will be asked to make a optional contribution to the Robert V. Boltz
