PPA TEC Troubleshooting Gas Boilers for Modulating Condensing and Naturally Vented Non-Condensing Boilers

This course was designed to help a technician understand what to do on a boiler no heat call. This class will focus on sequence of operation (how and when a boiler works) for both condensing and non-condensing boilers. This will allow technicians to determine problems internal and external to the boiler. This class will provide hands on opportunities to allow the students to perform a standard maintenance. On several different brands and styles of boilers.

Our Instructors: 

Mike Elmer has been in the HVAC and plumbing industry since 2002 and has worked for leading contractors in the South Central PA region. His background includes service HVAC, plumbing, and electric. Mike currently works in the field as a lead troubleshooting service technician.

Doug Zerbe has been in the HVAC industry since 2003.  On the contractor side of the industry, he has worked as an installer and service technician before he moved into installation and service management.  Doug also had the opportunity to work in technical support for an HVAC distributor and in sales for an HVAC manufacturer.
