PPA TEC Five-Day Heat Pump Installation, Service, and Troubleshooting Fundamentals
This class is designed to teach the basics of heat pump operation, including the refrigerant circuit, duel fuel systems, heat pump specific electrical and installation practices necessary for them. It will teach you basic skills in, installation, maintenance, and diagnostics for standard heat pumps, VFD heat pumps, and mini split units.

Who Should Attend: This 40-hour Heat Pump class was specifically developed for individuals with no or very limited field experience (less than 12 months).

Our Instructors:
Mike Elmer has been in the HVAC and plumbing industry since 2002 and has worked for leading contractors in the South Central PA region. His background includes service HVAC, plumbing, and electric. Mike currently works in the field as a lead troubleshooting service technician.
Doug Zerbe has been in the HVAC industry since 2003. On the contractor side of the industry, he has worked as an installer and service technician before he moved into installation and service management. Doug also had the opportunity to work in technical support for an HVAC distributor and in sales for an HVAC manufacturer.
